Love your Ferments (Newsletter)

When I tell people I love to cook, and it relaxes me like meditation does for other people, typically I get a raised eyebrow reaction. Also, when I tell people that I love fermentation, they always ask me about sauerkraut and kombucha. There are lots of different types of ferments, and all are definitely worth trying at least once in your lifetime. Every region in the world has their own unique way of fermenting.

Cabbage is one food that is a priority in fermenting in our household.

  • Cabbage has a bunch of symbiotic strains of bacteria on its outside leaves. And that's why it naturally ferments so well.

  • Fermented cabbage is not only good bacteria for your gut and simply yummy, it is also an excellent source of Vitamin C.
